November 2024 Tournament

The last midlands hockey tournament of the year saw Westleigh take over 60 kids to Ashby for a day of action packed hockey!

We were lucky to miss out on the forecast stormy weather and the conditions ended up being great for hockey. As always the U8s were up first. At this level it is all about fun and enjoyment and our three teams certainly did enjoy themselves! One of the teams enjoyed scoring a bit too much though and amassed 25 goals in only 5 games!

U10s was the usual format of one boys team, one girls team and one mixed team. All the teams performed well but special mention to the girls team who faced tough opposition including all boys teams and held out for some very gritty draws and scored some good goals themselves.

U12s decided to mix their teams and both teams played some very good hockey winning more than they lost. Thanks again for all the parents, it was a long day for some that had kids in all the age groups!

As December approaches, we can look back on a successful start to the season, great numbers of players signing on, three tournaments and over 20 training sessions delivered and some smart tracksuit tops for everyone! One thing we will work on next year is our team photos they are hilariously random!
